Product Description/ Specifications
Fits 1″ EMT tubing, or any tubing measuring 1-1/8″ to 1-3/16″ outside diameter. Fitting inside diameter is exact 1-1/4″ (will not fit 1-1/4″ O.D. tubing).
This fitting is good for canopy concrete weights. Works with half block (8″w x 8″d x 8″h) from you local hardware store or building materials supplier.
Center your fitting in the block and fill it up with concrete (Approximate weight: 30 lbs)
If you need it heavier, you can use a bucket or buy a 12″w x 12″d x 8″h half block (approximate weight is 60 to 80 lbs once is dry after 48 hrs depending on the weather.
It is best if you dig a hole in the ground and pour concrete around the fitting with enough concrete to make it heavier and more wind resistant.
NOTE: make sure the bottom of the fitting doesn’t get covered with dried concrete if you’re making block weights, you want that part clean so if it rains the water can drain out.
Leave at least 1″ of clearance between the block and fitting’s eye bolt so you can turn it with your fingers to lock in the pole or post.
